Oids ZX Spectrum Next v0.9.7

Oids is FTL's 1987 Atari ST gravity shooter: thrust, shoot, rescue the little android Oids, try not to redecorate a cliff with your ship. Sadly, you don't get points for shooting the trees and bushes, but it's fun.

To install: copy the contents of the zip file onto your SD card and run oids.nex from the NextZXOS browser.

What's next: the in-game planet editor (already working in the PC version) and custom galaxy support. And yes, 0.9.x means a short list of refinements is still landing - if something feels off, say so in the comments. Several of this port's best fixes started as a player saying "that sound is a bit long".

Oids PC v1.0.0rc1

In the PC version, I've implemented an editor based on the original's with some improvements to make it a bit more user-friendly. Instructions for use are included in the program.
